Every year when Pentecost comes missionaries name will be announced…when I heard their names I also used to feel that one day my name would have been announced. In the year 2016, it has become true in my life too.
E' nel 1988 che sr. Damiana Tansini, originaria di Castiglione d'Adda (Lodi) e Missionaria prima in India e poi in Papua Nuova Guinea, arriva a Watuluma e inizia una lunga storia missionaria in cui presterà servizio nella comunità di Watuluma in ospedale per nove anni e poi collaborerà negli inizi della comunità di Vanimo nel 1997, occupandosi di pastorale giovanile e vocazionale.
“Leave your country, your kindred, your father’s house, for a country that I will show you” (Gn. 12:1). It was exactly 52 years ago, like Abraham, I was asked to leave my country, my family for a second time and go to a Place that God will show me: Hong Kong.
As I pen down the experiences of my stay in the beautiful mission of Hong Kong, I remember a beautiful and meaningful song: God will make a way, Where there seems to be no way He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me He will be my guide, Hold me closely to His side With love and strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way.
