This year, the week of prayer for Christian unity was prepared by a local group from the United States of America (USA) convened by the Minnesota Council of Churches. The group was made up of men, women, mothers, fathers representing various experiences of worship and Christian spirituality. They come from US indigenous groups and immigrant communities, living in urban and suburban centres. They have a great capacity for storytelling and healing, and hope that their experience will serve as a testament to the inhumanity of which we may be capable of towards our fellow human beings.
Their invitation is: “Do good; seek justice” (Isaiah, 1:17)
